When it arrived I thought to myself that the filter holes look a bit larger than expected.Upon first use the filter is only good for large particles.Grit and bits of things like floured coatings slipped through.I ended up using a couple layers of cheese cloth instead.One other "nit" to pick.Because of the design, when inserted into a largish container openning, there is little to no room for air to escape so I had to lift the funnela little to let the air out.Laddling 4-5 liters of oil one handed was messy at best.
All in all my $2 large plastic funnel and cheese cloth performed better for my needs.
