This is obviously one of those products that was designed by someone who does not do very much nut chopping. If you do occasional baking and only want a small quantity of nuts at a time, say under 1/2 cup, this chopper does the job. However, you would be much better off getting the crank-type chopper for just a few bucks more. Using this chopper, it took me almost 5 minutes to chop a cup of walnuts for Christmas baking to say nothing of the wrist fatigue. After every 1/2 turn, you have to take your hand off the chopping lever and reposition your hand for the next half turn. Not a big deal you say?? Well try doing this for 5 straight minutes. The hand crank models are at least 3-4 times faster without the wrist fatigue.
