First, I am giving this item five stars for the simple fact that the Progressive International Stainless Steel 3-Quart Colander is very high quality and solid.Second, it should be noted that I returned this item due to the size.If a 3-quart colander will work for you, I would highly recommend this item.I simply underestimated the impact the size would have.It just wasn't going to be big enough for my uses.The handles are very firm and solid.The stainless steel finish is great.I found the thickness of colander itself to be very high end.All in all, I found the quality to be par none and excellent for the price range.

Progressive International Regular Scoop Colander Review

I just love this scoop colander. You don't realize how large this scoop actually is from the picture and i'm so glad i got the regular size. It can handle larger portions of rice, pasta etc...and be just as useful for smaller portions unlike the small scoop. I pour out my rice and/or pasta into this colander over the sink and return it to the pot just as easily as it came out without spillage, and i don't necessarily have to wash up dishes first to make room for a regular colander. This thing is great i don't what more i can say.

It's not cheap, but it's gooood.Whether you need to drain pasta or filter out the mind control rays from the orbital satellites, this one'll do the job for a long time.Very solid.A little bit heavy, but that's the tradeoff--sure, you can get lighter (and wimpier) colanders, but why run the risk of having your mind being subverted by the CIA because they jack up the power a bit?
Seriously, it's a very good colander.You'll never need another one.The handles are welded on so there's no rivets to fall out, and it's about the right size for the typical pasta mess.Enjoy.
