12 1/2 months into owning this microwave (which by the way I loved), I was cleaning it with a wet paper towel when pieces of the white interior started coming off of the top. I've never seen this happen before. Called their customer service and was told that it's actually paint and they would be happy to sell me some paint so I could paint the inside of the microwave myself. Wow, that's great customer service. I'm not sure what upset me more, telling me to buy the paint or telling me to paint it myself. Microwave lasted another 9 months before the magnetron blew (it looked like a nuclear bomb went off inside of the microwave...really scared us). I was assured that they would fix it but it would cost me upwards of $119 for labor, etc. Obviously I'm not getting it fixed. My last GE microwave lasted me around 15 years.
