I use this every weekend to poach eggs.They come out nicely every time.

I also used this set to make muffins.My husband couldn't beleive that I made them in the microwave.They were so fluffly and light!

I plan on using it to make a meatloaf in the near future.

Norpro 181R Silicone 9-Inch Steamer Review

I just love it,it is very sturdy.I have gone through 2 metal steamers,the legs/handles always seem to break off.No worries with this steamer as it's all one piece and indestructible,I think it even cooks the veggies better than the metal steamers.Certainly seems to cook them much faster.
I will never boil veggies again,not only are you losing all the nutrients in the water but the flavour and the colour as well.

The Cook-Zen Microwave Pot Review

When considering this purchase, I was a bit put off by the price -- it seemed too expensive. I was having my kitchen remodeled and would not be able to cook in it for a while. I was trying to find ways in which I could still cook and eat healthy. When I saw this item, it appeared to be a product in which I could put all the ingredients into it, pop it into the microwave, and presto -- a complete, healthy, Japanese meal!
So it seemed that this would be perfect for me, so I bit the bullet
and purchase both the Zen Cooker and the recipe book.

The recipes (if you purchase the related book) are good, but unfortunately to
cook a complete meal (rice, vegetables, main dish) you have to cook all
separately and thus have the problem of keeping them all warm, etc.

The Zen cooker works well, the cookbook recipes are good, but for the
money I put out and what I expected to get out of it -- I was disappointed.

I love, love, love this little contraption.I have a Black and Decker steamer, which works well too, but I can't stand the cleanup on those things.You have to take it apart, try and get all excess material out of the grid, try to wash the base without immersing the electrical cord...even with the metal in-basket steamers you come across the same messy cleanup involving two or three pieces and/or pots and pans.Which, I suppose, wouldn't be a problem for someone wanting to make several servings of steamed veggies, but when it's just you...you don't want the hassle.With this little steamer (which is about the same size as most cereal bowls) I can make individual portions of veggies in a matter of minutes in the microwave.Which is good because I like to shake it up a bit on my seasonings and this gives me the flexibility of making different flavors each time.I just sprinkle on the toppings before zapping the items.Cleanup is where it really, really shines.The slits in the plastic aren't as hard to clean as a grid or those metal steaming baskets that seem to trap everything in their folds.Just immerse in water and clean like a regular bowl.And with only a tablespoon or two of water added before cooking, there's less chance of "drowning" your food.Always a good thing.Can't say enough good things about this steamer.

Handy Gourmet 2 Tier Microwave Steamer Review

I found that the Jobar steamer does a great job in steaming vegetables.I used it right away and made some great broccoli and carrots, vegetables were steamed and crisp and full of flavor.
