I originally bought this item because I needed something smallish (2 qt or less) with a spout. I intend to use this ONLY to microwave water for non-food preparation purposes. The plastic seams like it would crack after many uses and the handle feels flimsy like it would break off if I filled the container to its capacity. Granted, I haven't used it for a week yet, but these are my first impressions. For $12 I thought it would be more sturdy.
