BAKING MAT Review

After a thorough cleaning and following the directions to apply a light coat of butter to condition it, my first batch of cookies was ruined.The mat expands significantly when heated, and the flat bottom sticks to the pan, causing ripples and bumps.But even better was the noxious wave of fumes when I opened my oven, burning my eyes and setting off the smoke alarm.I don't feel safe consuming anything related to it.And it wasn't much better than a $10 cookie sheet at being non-stick.

DELUXE NUT CHOPPER W/MEASURES Review

This is obviously one of those products that was designed by someone who does not do very much nut chopping. If you do occasional baking and only want a small quantity of nuts at a time, say under 1/2 cup, this chopper does the job. However, you would be much better off getting the crank-type chopper for just a few bucks more. Using this chopper, it took me almost 5 minutes to chop a cup of walnuts for Christmas baking to say nothing of the wrist fatigue. After every 1/2 turn, you have to take your hand off the chopping lever and reposition your hand for the next half turn. Not a big deal you say?? Well try doing this for 5 straight minutes. The hand crank models are at least 3-4 times faster without the wrist fatigue. Also, if you have any difficulty with arm or wrist mobility, don't even think about buying this product.
