I bought a young chihuahua and thought that this would make her feel more secure in her crate at night since she would be away from her mom and siblings.I would warm it in the microwave for 30 seconds each night like suggested and it does stay warm for at least 30 minutes (I've never checked it past that time).I can't tell you why my pup is so attached to this thing but she carries it around ALL THE TIME, even when not warmed.She hasn't managed to chew a hole in it as of yet, but you have to take into consideration that she's a very small dog. :)I don't think it would hold up to the jaws of our lab/shepherd mix for very long! ;)
